VFCU has suspended all Interac e-transfer fees for our members due to the reduced service levels in the branch as a result of the COVID 19 health emergency as a means of lessening the impact on our members
Due to the recent COVID 19 health crisis Firefighters Credit Union has made the difficult decision to cease all in-branch visits. At this time we will staff the branch but will not allow any face to face interaction with our members. We will respond to all requests for financial services via email and phone calls but will no longer be distributing cash, taking new loan applications or opening new accounts. We will do our utmost to serve our members remotely via our website, email and phone. Please reach out to us in any of these methods and we will do our very best to help you out. This is not a decision that we take lightly but we felt it was in the best interests of all of our members health. We promise to keep you all informed of any further changes as the situation develops.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, the Annual General Meeting for Vancouver Firefighters’ Credit Union scheduled for May 7th 2020 at the Firefighters’ Social and Athletic Club has been postponed. The board of directors decided this at the March Board meeting held last on the 26th. The AGM will be rescheduled at a date to be determined, most likely in the Fall of 2020. The board and management apologize for this postponement but feel that it must be done for the health and wellbeing of our members. Please note that we continue to staff the branch on a daily basis and are here to serve our members via phone calls and emails but are closed to in-person banking.
